One platform, every stakeholder: in-platform collaboration

As an agent takes on more of a company's customer conversations, more teams develop a stake in how it behaves. The teams responsible for the customer relationship, compliance risks, and the underlying tech stack all become accountable for how the agent is developed and its impact.
This trend creates a new requirement of AI platforms: to become an efficient surface for cross-functional collaboration. That means a shared place where teams can build together, stay in sync, and make changes without disrupting one another’s work.
Build together on one platform
Decagon extends ownership of agent development across the business through Agent Operating Procedures (AOPs). By expressing agent logic in natural language, AOPs enable both business users and technical builders to help shape how the agent behaves.
Ownership only matters if people can act on it together. Once more people are building on the same agent, the platform needs the kind of real-time collaboration that documents and slide decks have given teams for decades.
For Decagon, the AOP itself is that surface. Comments live embedded directly in it, so a compliance reviewer can flag a risky clause in the refund policy, debate the fix with the CX lead, and resolve it right on the line where it lives, instead of in a separate thread someone has to reconcile later.
The same holds once an agent is in production. When QA feedback shows it skipped a guardrail, a team member can comment directly on that flag, assign it to the right person, and debug it live, in context, without ever leaving the platform.
Stay in sync with notifications built for relevance
More stakeholders means more activity, but that activity is only useful if it reaches the right person. Decagon surfaces updates through email and an in-platform notification pane, with tagging built in. Keeping notifications inside the platform, rather than routing everything through Slack or email alone, keeps the context and the resolution attached to the AOP itself, instead of one more layer removed in someone's inbox.
For example, if a CX operator wants to route a workflow to a newly integrated system and needs technical support to make it happen, they can tag their engineering counterpart directly, in the application, on the exact AOP in question.
Avoid overstep with governance by design
Compliance and risk teams need visibility into an agent's behavior, but they don't necessarily need edit rights. Built-in enterprise governance makes it possible to bring more teams onto the platform in the first place, while maintaining clear roles, permissions, and controls.
Comment-only access lets non-builders weigh in without touching logic. Role-based access control (RBAC) ties permissions to roles rather than individuals. It's built directly into Versioning, so access stays consistent as an agent evolves and as people move teams.
The platform for every team with a stake in the agent
At Decagon, we’re committed not only to producing great agents but to offering a place where every team with a stake in an agent's behavior can work on it together: safely, in context, and without friction.

There are very few places where you can prototype with frontier LLMs, ship to production in days, and watch users engage with the systems you built—all while owning the entire stack, from intent parsing and tool usage to API integration and observability. This role at Decagon is one of those places.
From my own experience working across both agent development and broader engineering initiatives at Decagon, I’ve seen firsthand how uniquely impactful this work can be. Whether I’m building intelligent workflows for customers or designing infrastructure that supports our agent platform, it’s rare to find an environment where the work transitions from concept to production within days, actively powering user experiences and transforming how businesses operate.
If you’re looking for a role where you can:
- Build at the frontier of LLMs, automation, and user interaction
- Deploy AI agents that solve high-value business use cases across industries including retail, travel and hospitality, fintech, edtech, and more
- Work directly with customers on high-impact use cases
- Ship fast, iterate constantly, and own your work from idea to production
